The 54th Regional Sports Meet involving several Kendriya Vidyalayas commenced at Kendriya Vidyalaya ONGC on Thursday. Inaugurating the event, the principal Sushil Kumar Dhiman said that it was all set to be a celebration of sportsmanship, teamwork and healthy competition. The students from various grades participated in different sports events. The total number of participants is expected to be about 100. Eighteen teachers have also come escorting the students.
This year, Handball boy’s category (Under 14 and Under 17), Shooting boy’s category (Under 14, Under 17 and Under 19) and Volleyball boy’s category (Under 14 and Under 17) are being organised in Kendriya Vidyalaya ONGC.
The participating schools included Kendriya Vidyalaya ONGC; Kendriya Vidyalaya ITBP; Kendriya Vidyalaya IIP, Mohkampur; Kendriya Vidyalaya, No 1 HBK; Kendriya Vidyalaya, Roorkee; Kendriya Vidyalaya, Birpur and Kendriya Vidyalaya, NHPC, Dharchula.
