The process of stall registration for commercial firms has begun for the 120th All India Kisan Mela and Industry Exhibition scheduled at Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology from October 3 to 6. This year, the theme of the fair is ‘Smart Farming – Healthy Earth – Prosperous Farmers’.
Informing this on Saturday, the director of Extension Education, GBPUAT, Jitendra Kwatra stated that agricultural and rural firms from various states across the country are registering to exhibit and sell their products at the fair. “Stalls will display tractors, combine harvesters, power tillers, planters, sub-soilers, irrigation equipment and other modern agricultural machinery, along with stalls selling agricultural chemicals, fertilizers, insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, animal nutrition and veterinary products, seeds and seedlings, and medicinal plant products,” he added.
Sharing further, he said that the sale of quality seeds for Rabi crops would be a major attraction. “Additionally, firms involved in handicrafts, rural industries, processed foods, information technology, household goods, and solar energy products will also participate. Banks, agricultural research institutes, publishers and government and private institutions will also share information about their schemes, technologies, and services with farmers and visitors. This fair will provide an opportunity to integrate modern agricultural technology, sustainable farming, and farmer prosperity on a single platform,” he stated.
