The recruitment registration process under the Agnipath scheme which began on February 13 will continue till March 22. The Army Recruiting Office (ARO) Lansdowne director colonel Paritosh Mishra informed the media here on Tuesday that the recruitment enrollment has begun for women military police, havildar surveyor auto cartographer, sepoy pharma, nursing assistant and nursing assistant (veterinary) under the scheme. Interested candidates are required to register through the “Join Indian Army” website link, he said.
Mishra stated that the response to the Agnipath scheme has been positive from the Garhwal and Kumaon regions and all youth are encouraged to participate in the recruitment drive. Eligible candidates can also apply for technical posts, which will increase their chances of success in recruitment. The ARO has sent some proposals to increase the facilities for candidates, especially daughters to register and participate in the rally, he said. He further highlighted that many new measures have been included this year to improve the recruitment process. These include a new adaptability test and a new typing test for Agniveer (office assistant) formerly known as Agniveer (clerk). A new biometric verification process in the form of an iris scan has been included to sift out fraudulent candidates. The youth should register only with their Aadhaar-linked mobile numbers as Aadhaar verification will be done during the recruitment rally, he said. Mishra further informed that the application process is automated this time and every candidate can register on their own. He assured all candidates that the selection process will be unbiased and no person can influence it.
