Religious procession to be taken out, route diversion enforced in Doon

In latest news from Doon, a couple of days left for the consecration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, a religious procession is set to be taken out in Dehradun that would snake through a number of roads after commencing at Parade Ground. The roads the procession will cover are Kanak Chowk, Orient Chowk, Clock Tower, Paltan Bazar, Dispensary Road and Darshanlal Chowk. It will terminate at Rangers Ground. The SP traffic Sarvesh Panwar said that they had arranged sufficient parking spaces for the buses and cars coming to the town from outside. He further said that police personnel have been stationed across the town to keep things peaceful during the procession and added that the people should avoid the roads the procession would move through to avoid traffic congestion. He also shared details of the route diversion plan the police have firmed up to ensure that the traffic movement is not seriously affected during the time of the procession.
