Tehri Hydro Development Corporation Limited (THDC) informed on Thursday that due to an ongoing repair work at the Tehri dam, the movement of vehicles over the dam has been completely restricted until further notice.
According to THDC sources, this decision was taken with safety as a priority, ensuring that repair work continues smoothly with no possibility of accidents or disruptions. Only vehicles connected to essential services, such as ambulances, police, emergency services or departmental vehicles, would be allowed to cross the dam, THDC sources said.
