Report on land deals received from 11 districts, Haridwar & Nainital to submit report in 24 hours

The reports on land deals sought by chief secretary Radha Raturi from all districts on chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s directions, have been received from 11 districts. The reports from Haridwar and Nainital will be received in 24 hours. This was stated in a video conference chaired by chief secretary Radha Raturi with district magistrates on Monday. The chief secretary directed the district magistrates to register cases under section 166/167 of the ZALR Act in instances where land transactions have been carried out against the provisions of the land law or if there is any violation of the permission regarding the land deal. The chief secretary said that in the cases where land deals were allowed for special purposes but then not used for the said purposes, the district magistrate should ensure strict action. Similarly, strict action should also be taken in case of any type of violation of the land law in such deals, she stressed. With reports regarding land deals being received from 11 districts, the chief secretary directed that the reports from Haridwar and Nainital districts should be submitted by Tuesday. Principal secretary RK Sudhanshu, secretary Chandresh Yadav and other officials concerned were also present in the meeting
