Motherhood University marks R-Day with zest
The Republic Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at Motherhood University in Roorkee. The vice chancellor Narendra Sharma, director Deepak Sharma, faculty members and students were present during the flag hoisting. The VC paid tributes to the makers of the Indian constitution, freedom fighters and martyrs during his address on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, the director stressed on the need for fulfilling responsibilities too while enjoying the rights in a democratic republic.
UJVNL marks R-Day with patriotism
The Republic Day was celebrated at UJVN Limited with patriotic fervour on Tuesday. Addressing the gathering after unfurling the national flag, the managing director Sandeep Singhal spoke of the various activities of the corporation. Stating that UJVNL had achieved record power generation during the Covid pandemic, he appreciated the efficiency and dedication of all staff members. The staff members also sang patriotic songs and recited poems on the occasion. The director (projects) SC Baluni, general manager Amitabh Maitra and other officials were also present on the occasion.
THDCIL reiterates commitment on R-Day
The chairman and managing director of THDCIL, DV Singh hoisted the national flag at corporate office in Rishikesh on the occasion of Republic Day. Addressing the gathering on the occasion Singh stressed on the importance of power sector in the nation’s development and also outlined the contribution of THDC India Limited in fulfilling its philosophy of “Generating Power, Transmitting Prosperity”. He urged the employees to work harder to take the corporation to new heights. Vijay Goel, Director (Personnel), J Behera, Director (Finance), RK Vishnoi, Director(Technical) and BP Gupta, Chief Vigilance Officer along with other senior executives were also present on this occasion.
72nd Republic Day celebrated at Doon Cambridge School
The Doon Cambridge School celebrated Republic Day with enthusiasm on Tuesday. School principal HK Chhabra hoisted the national flag. The head boy Surya Pratap Singh Rathour and head girl Unnati Uniyal delivered speeches on the occasion. The principal motivated the gathering in her address while also paying tributes to martyrs and freedom fighters. The students also participated in various cultural activities on the occasion.
