Delegation meets Additional Chief Secretary on pending issues of promotion, U health card and others

A delegation of the State Employees Joint Council of Uttarakhand met the additional chief secretary Radha Raturi on Tuesday and expressed the annoyance of employees over the pending decisions concerning them. The officiating general secretary of the council, Arun Pandey said that the ACS was told that no action has yet been taken on the decisions taken and understanding arrived on the issues in the meeting of August 24 this year. The delegation said that in the meeting of August chaired by the ACS Raturi herself assurance that action within one month would be taken on understanding reached on Assured Career Progression (ACP), U health card and relaxation for promotions. However no progress on these issues was made till date. Pandey said that the issue of pending promotions in departments like women empowerment and others were also discussed in the meeting.  The delegation also told the ACS that the salaries of UPNL and other contractual workers in different departments of government have not been paid for the last three four months. The ACS was also informed that resentment is brewing among the employees due to pending decisions. He said that ACS Raturi took cognizance of no action on decisions taken earlier and issued reminders to officials concerned. The delegation was led by the president of the forum Thakur Prahlad Singh.

State administration takes cognizance of ACP issue

Taking note of growing anger in the employees on the issue of Assured Career Progression (ACP) and Modified Assured Career Progression (MACP), the department of finance has moved into action. In a letter directed to all head of departments (HoD), the additional secretary, Arunendra Singh Chauhan has said that they should provide the details of the employees who have not received the benefit of ACP during their service period. He has directed that the information in desired format should be provided within 15 working days. According to the provisions of ACP, an employee gets a higher salary grade on completion of 10, 20 and 30 years of service.
