RG Hospital will organise the RG Marathon 7.0 in Dehradun on February 23. Stating this, senior consultant of urology at the hospital, Dr Manoj Gupta said the event will be led by marathon runner and celebrity Milind Soman, who will inspire attendees to embrace fitness and an active lifestyle. He said that the theme for this event is ‘run for health’.
The event will feature two categories- a 5-kilometre run and a 10-kilometre run. So far, 25,000 individuals have registered online to participate in the marathon. “Regular physical activity, like running, is essential for overall well-being and disease prevention. This marathon encourages people to adopt a healthier lifestyle and take charge of their fitness,” he said.
Business consultant at the hospital Puneet Vig said that the 5-kilometre run will start from Bannu School at 5:30 AM, proceed to Survey Chowk and conclude back at Bannu School. The 10-kilometre race will begin at Bannu School, continue to Nany’s Bakery, pass Astley Hall, along with other interrelated roads and end back at Bannu School. Winners in each male and female category will receive a cash prize of Rs 1.5 lakh.
