The Ramlila being staged at Tallital has acquired distinctiveness with a 13-year-old Muslim girl-Rida Khan, a class VIII student-playing Sita. The people across the religious spectrum are appreciating the inclusiveness of the Ramlila enactment.
Rida who has been taking part in Ramlila for the past three years said she loved to play the mother Sita. She further said that she longed to take up singing as her career and with this aim in view, she has been taking music training under the guidance of Aman Mahajan and Diksha Mahajan at a music institute in Nainital. The organisers of the Ramlila said that Rida would come in the evening to take lessons for Ramlila.
