The continuous efforts being made by the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board to make Rishikesh a global centre of adventure tourism have received recognition in the form of the Yog Nagari being adjudged as the Best Adventure Destination 2025. The Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat presented the award to the secretary, Tourism, Uttarakhand, Sachin Kurve at a programme in New Delhi on Friday.
After receiving the award, Kurve said that along with further boosting adventure tourism prospects, they have been striving to promote the little-known places as vibrant tourism destinations.
