Senior batter of India Rohit Sharma on Saturday scotched speculations on his retirement. “I am not going anywhere,” he said and ascribed his failing form to his decision to stand down from the ongoing Sydney Test against Australia.
Notably, worried with his unsatisfactory form, Rohit had opted to rest from the Sydney Test, handing over the leadership duties to Jasprit Bumrah, fuelling speculations over his likely retirement. “I have not retired; I stood down because I thought we need a player with form to win the test,” he said.
