Rotary Club reiterates commitment to social upliftment

The Rotary Club Roorkee Greater District presented its charter in a meeting held in the Roorkee Institute of Technology hall. The Rotary district governor Ajay Madan was present in this first meeting of the club on its foundation day. The members present in the meeting reiterated their commitment for social uplift and service on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, assistant governor Mujib Malik said that the aim of the club is service of society for which all Rotarians are committed. Club mentor and RIT management trustee Naman Bansal, Rotarians Shoeb Malik and Ravi Prakash thanked Madan and assured of their full support to the newly formed working committee. Speaking on the occasion Rotarian first lady Savita Madan addressed the women stating that they will have to come forward and play their role alongside the men to work for the upliftment of society. The new head Parag Jain stressed on the need for using technical resources for facilitating progress in society. He said that the skills of the experts in the club can be utilised for the betterment of society. RIT director general MG Nigam also assured that he will contribute in all efforts of the club.
