Rough weather in isolated places, rain in 5 districts & Doon today

The State meteorological centre has issued a weather warning for Tuesday. Thunderstorm accompanied with hail/lightning/intense shower and squall (50-60 kmph) are likely to occur at isolated places in the State today. Apart from this, light to moderate rainfall/thunderstorm are likely to occur at many places in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts and at a few places in the mountains of the remaining districts. Very light to light rainfall/thunderstorm is likely to occur at isolated places in the plains of the State. Further, the surface winds are likely to be strong and gusty during the day time at isolated places.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is likely to experience partly cloudy sky with the possibility of rain/thunderstorm. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 37 degrees Celsius and 26 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Tuesday. Meanwhile, light rain was experienced in various parts of the State on Monday. Dunda received 16 millimetres rain while there was 11 millimetres rain in Uttarkashi, 10.5 millimetres in Kedarnath and six millimetres in Mukhim. The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Monday were 38.5 degrees Celsius and 25.8 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 38.9 degrees Celsius and 27 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 27.7 degrees Celsius and 16.9 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 29.4 degrees Celsius and 18.4 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
