In an important announcement, the Dehradun district magistrate Sonika said that Rs 50,000 would be given to the person who would give evidence-based information about the ultrasound centres using pre-conception and pre-natal diagnostic techniques for sex identification of embryo and also about those who are responsible for such sex identification of embryo. She further said that the identity of the persons who would expose such illegal activities would be kept secret. Such persons are to provide information on the Emergency Control Room number 01352626066. She stressed on continuous raids on such centres to eliminate the menace.
