The Rudraprayag district magistrate Mayur Dixit asked the senior district officers to keep vigil on encroachment and to take stern and prompt action in case any encroachment is noticed. Notably, the Ukhimath administration has already removed encroachments from the Kedarnath highway. Informing this, the sub-divisional magistrate of Ukhimath Jitendra Verma said that complying with the DM’s order, several encroachments along the Kedarnath Highway at Sitapur, Sonprayag and Gourikund have been removed.
