Rudrapur, known as Uttarakhand’s industrial hub, has been included in the list of 75 cities of the country making a remarkable journey towards cleanliness by the Government of India under the Swachh Bharat Mission.
Informing this on Tuesday, the commissioner, Rudrapur Municipal Corporation Naresh Chandra Durgapal said that one instance of Rudrapur’s cleanliness transformation was the transformation of an old garbage dump into a clean and green space through execution of a waste treatment project. He further said that the Swachh Bharat Mission 2.0 was not just about cleaning up but about reclaiming lands and turning them into green spaces.
