Rudrapur women’s hostel to provide safe accommodation for working women: Arya

The Women’s Empowerment and Child Development (WECD) minister Rekha Arya stated that the women’s hostel being constructed in Rudrapur will play a crucial role in providing safe and comfortable housing for working women. She said this while inspecting the construction site of the hostel at Rudrapur in Udham Singh Nagar district on Saturday.
During her visit, Arya enquired about the progress of the construction from the officials and engineers of the implementing agency. She emphasised the importance of maintaining high construction quality. Two women’s hostels are being built simultaneously in Rudrapur, with a total project cost of Rs 12,563.50 lakh.
Arya inspected the construction site at Fulsungi and instructed officials to take appropriate measures to prevent moisture from entering the ground. She said that all work should be completed within the stipulated time frame and to a high standard, aiming for project completion by January 2027. The female workforce is the strength of our society. Arya added that once the project is completed, women will experience significant relief from housing-related issues, allowing them to focus on their work and businesses without worry.
