With the second and final phase of Panchayat polling going on across the State except the district of Haridwar, over 12 per cent of the voters have exercised their franchise by 10 AM. Informing this, the State Election Commission officials said that 34 per cent polling has been reported from Haldwani by 12 PM.
Peaceful polling has been continuing in four blocks of Nainital district-Haldwani, Bhimtal, Ramnagar and Kotabag and by 10 AM, 13.5 per cent voting has been reported. In Champawat district, 13.92 per cent polling has been reported from Champawat and Barakot blocks, SEC officials said.
