Safety of stranded in Ukraine- CM talks to NSA Doval
State government appoints nodal officers for information on natives of U’khand living in Ukraine

Concerned over the safety of people of Uttarakhand residing in Ukraine, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a telephonic conversation with National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval on Friday. The NSA told him that the government of India is trying to ensure the safety of all Indians living in Ukraine. Doval assured Dhami about the safety of students of Uttarakhand and other people. On the day the CM also held a review meeting on the security of people of state living in Ukraine with senior officers of the state government. He said that the officers should be in touch with the officials of the external affairs ministry on the issue. The CM directed that the officers concerned should also be in touch with the students living in Ukraine and their family members.
The Uttarakhand government has appointed Inspector General (IG) police P Renuka Devi ( Phone number- 7579278144) and Superintendent of Police (SP) Pramod Kumar ( 983778889) as nodal officers for security and compiling information about the people of Uttarakhand residing in Ukraine.
The CM was told in the review meeting that so far family members of 95 people stranded in Ukraine have contacted the toll free number 112 of the state government.
Dhami himself talked with some of the family members of people living in Ukraine on the telephone. He appealed to them that they should not panic as the Indian government is doing every possible effort to ensure the safety of our people in Ukraine.
The meeting was attended by chief secretary Anand Vardhan, Additional Director General (ADG) police Sanjay Gunjyal and other officers.
