Soil from houses of 1734 martyrs & water of 28 holy rivers put into the foundation of the memorial

A programme was organised at the under construction Sainya Dham in Guniyal Gaon on Monday in which the soil brought from the households of the martyrs of the State and the water from all the major rivers was put into the foundation of the Amar Jawan Jyoti of the memorial. The programme was presided over by the soldier welfare minister Ganesh Joshi and was attended by the governor of Uttarakhand Lieutenant General (Rtd) Gurmit Singh, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan and others.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said that the memorial being built by bringing sacred soil from the households of 1734 martyrs would act as an inspiration for the future generations. He said that Sainya Dham would not only express the devotion of the people of the State but would also showcase the bravery and valour shown by our brave soldiers. The governor said that the brave soldiers of the State are providing valuable service in the field of national security. He said that it is the duty of every one to assist the families of the martyrs who sacrificed themselves for the cause of the motherland.
The minister Joshi said that the brave soldiers of Uttarakhand have always remained in the forefront for service of the nation. He said that every fifth soldier of the county hails from Uttarakhand. The minister said that it the duty of everyone to provide reverence to the martyrs and keep their memory live. He said that the Sainya Dham represents the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the commitment of the Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. He said that the Sainya Dham would always inspire the youngsters of the State and the country.
Speaking on the occasion, the CDS General Anil Chauhan said that it is matter of great pride that soil from the houses of 1734 martyrs and water from 28 rivers has been put in the foundation of the Amar Jawan Jyoti of the Dham. He said that by constructing Sainya Dham the people of Uttarakhand have made its martyrs immortals and has ensured that their legacy remains imprinted in the heart and soul of the generations to come.
The president of Uttarakhand BJP Mahendra Bhatt is getting established as the fifth Dham of the State.
The Mayor of Dehradun Sunil Uniyal Gama, MLA Savita Kapoor, secretary soldier welfare Deependra Kumar Chaudhary, GoC Uttarakhand Sub area Major General Sanjiv Khatri and others were present on the occasion.
