Sainya Dham to reflect vision of PM Modi: Ganesh Joshi

The Soldier Welfare minister Ganesh Joshi said on Friday that the Sainya Dham at Gunyal Gaon in Dehradun is being constructed as per the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that 40 per cent work on the Sainya Dham is complete. The minister conducted an inspection of the place where the Sainya Dham is proposed and checked the ongoing works there. He said that a model of indigenously built aircraft carrier, INS Vikrant would be installed in the Sainya Dham. He said that chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has a special interest in the Sainya Dham and he also conducts regular monitoring of the works done here. Terming the Sainya Dham as his dream project, the minister directed the officers that work on the project should be completed on time. The minister looked satisfied by both the pace of the construction work and the quality of the works.
He directed the officers to ensure that best quality material is used in the construction. The minister claimed that the Sainya Dhams are being constructed after study of the war memorials in different parts of the country. He said that the CM Dhami has assured that there would be no paucity of funds for the Sainya Dham. The minister said that two soldiers Baba Harbhajan Singh and Baba Jaswant Singh are worshipped in the Indian Army and their temples would be constructed in the Sainya Dham. Similarly the gate of the Sainya Dham would be named after the first Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat. He expressed confidence that the people would come to visit the Sainya Dham in a manner similar to that of the Char Dhams. The Sainya Dham is being constructed by keeping this sentiment in centre. The additional secretary of Soldier Welfare CS Dharmshaktu, joint secretary Sunil Singh, Soldier Welfare director brigadier (retd) Amrit Lal and others were present on the occasion.
