In latest Uttarakhand news, the State higher education minister Dhan Singh Rawat reached Dhamdev in Jainti tehsil in Almora district to participte in the anniversary of the Salam Kranti Day and paid tributes by laying wreath on the martyrs’ memorial dedicated to the two martyrs Nar Singh and Tika Singh. Notably, they laid down their lives on the altar of anti-colonial struggle at this place in 1942. He further said on the occasion that the history related to the supreme sacrifice made by these martyrs would be incorporated in the curriculum upto calss XII. Besides, the State government would allot Rs 25 lakh for different programmes to be hosted by the Salam Kranti memorial committee.
