Tennis champion Sania Mirza and USA’s Rajeev Ram were knocked out of the Australian Open on Tuesday after they lost the quarterfinal match against Jason Kubler and Jamiee Fourlis at the Margaret Court Arena. The opponents Kubler and Fourlis defeated Mirza and Ram 6-4, 7-6 giving them a tough time in the quarterfinal game. Mirza and Ram though losing the first set, managed to take a lead in the second set, but were dominated by Kubler and Fourlis bringing the set at 5-5. However, in the end, the Australian team progressed into the semi-final of the ongoing Grand Slam. Mirza recently announced that she would retire at the end of this season.
