A sanitary pad dispenser for police women and women employees was inaugurated at the police line here by Uttarakhand Police Wives Welfare Association (UPWWA) chairperson Alaknanda Ashok on Sunday. Women police personnel and employees will now be able to get a sanitary pad for Rs five.
Speaking on the occasion, the UPWWA chairperson said that the sanitary pad dispensing machine had been placed for the convenience of women police personnel. It will be helpful in mitigating their physical and mental issues during work. In the future, such dispensers will be installed in all police stations in the state and all women’s barracks of PAC and IRB, she added.
