Dehradun-based orthopaedic surgeon Dr BKS Sanjay presented the Swami Brahmanand Award to Faizal Khan, popularly known as ‘Khan Sir’ at a function held in Bundelkhand area of Uttar Pradesh on Saturday. Sanjay said that change is a universal truth and changing the thoughts of a person is vital to bring about the desired change in the person. Education is a good, easy and cheap medium to achieve this change. He said that Brahmanand ignited the spirit of education in the Bundelkhand region at a time when people did not understand the value of education. He believed that poverty will be eradicated only when children are educated and started a novel mission with a door to door awareness campaign on education. The work he did is not only commendable but also incomparable which has been acknowledged by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and the current Prime Minister Narendra Modi who also remembered his works and paid tribute to him.
