Film actress Sara Ali Khan has a deep attachment to Kedarnath shrine. She entered Bollywood through the film Kedarnath in 2018. This film was shot in Kedargathi. Since then she keeps coming to Kedarnath on pilgrimage. This time, she visited and had darshan of the third Kedar Lord Tungnath. She stayed there for about five hours. She wished to go to Chandrashila, but her wish was not fulfilled due to bad weather.
According to Dinesh Bajwal, a tourist guide from Usana village, Sara Ali Khan ascended to the temple after covering a distance of three and a half km on foot from Chopta. At around one in the afternoon, she left for Chandrashila, but had to return as it was snowing on the way.
It is learnt that she stayed at Tungnath for about three hours and talked to the priests and others. Thereafter, Sara went to Kedarnath. She stayed there for two days before returning home.
