In latest news from Doon, while expressing anguish over the continuing ban on the reservation in promotion negatively impacting representation and promotion of the people belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes in jobs, the SC/ST Teachers Association decided to meet the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and some senior administrative officers soon to apprise them of the worsening plight of these people in the government jobs. This decision to meet the CM was taken at a meeting of the association in Dehradun presided over by its State president Sanjay Kumar Tamta and attended by the members from all the 13 districts. Tamta said that things are grim for them as due to the ban on reservation in promotion, representation and promotion of these people are well below the mandated level.
