The School Education department of Uttarakhand has started the process of recruitment to the vacant posts of coordinators and resource persons under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA). On the orders of the Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat, the department has released the advertisement to recruit 84 coordinators under the SAA. These appointments would be made on deputation basis. The coordinators would be appointed in state, district and blocks. In the second phase recruitment would be done on the 955 vacant posts of resource persons in block and Sankuls of the Education department. The Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that the state government has intensified its effort to improve the quality of education in the state. He said that the appointment of the coordinators would be done at state directorate, district and block level. Rawat said that appointment on 10 posts of coordinators would be made in the state project office, seven each in Udham Singh Nagar, Pauri, Nainital, Pithoragarh, Haridwar and Tehri, six each in Uttarkashi and Almora, five in Dehradun and three each in Champawat, Bageshwar and Rudraprayag districts. The director general (DG) school education, Banshidhar Tiwari said that a transparent process of selection would be followed in appointment of Coordinators. In it marks would be awarded on the basis of academic record and a merit list would be accordingly prepared.
