ollowing the complaints against Flyfoot School in Dehradun, the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCR) conducted an inspection at the said school on Thursday. Member of SCPCR Vinod Kaparwan informed that recently the commission received a complaint against the school for prohibiting students from wearing Kalava and Tilak which reportedly infuriated many locals. In light of these allegations, the commission conducted a surprise inspection on Thursday, he said.
During the inspection, the commission found everything satisfactory. The school administration informed that it does not restrict students from wearing Tilak or Kalava. Kaparwan said that there is also a Hanuman temple on the school’s premises which students visit every Tuesday. The school administration claimed that some anti-social elements from outside the school are trying to disturb the situation and trying to influence the students which also leads to fights among children at times. Many children are deliberately donning prominent Tilak and Kalava under the influence of such elements and the school took cognisance of it, he added.
