The State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCR) will organise a one-day workshop on child rights and safety on October 11 at Rudrapur. According to officials, the workshop is being held to raise awareness among children on child safety and child rights. Further, the programme is also being organised to celebrate International Girl Child Day. Apart from this, the programme will aim to raise awareness among the children about their rights and safety. With this, the commission will also raise awareness among the children about the ill-effects of child labour. The programme will be attended by all the linear department officials and school/college level children.
It will be recalled that recently an awareness programme related to child labour and online cybercrime was also organised in Doon by SCPCR.
