In latest Uttarakhand news, SDRF personnel, deployed for the Kanwad Mela that started on Tuesday, rescued a kanwadiya who came to Haridwar with thousands of other devotees to collect water from holy Ganga. It is learnt that when the devotee was taking a bath in Ganga he was found drowning near the Kangra bridge with the sudden rise in the current of the river. SDRF personnel saved him from drowning.
