SDRF to deploy trained female personnel on Char Dham routes too

The commandant of Uttarakhand State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) Arpan Yaduvanshi announced that trained female personnel from SDRF units will be deployed along the Yatra routes to assist female pilgrims with first aid and other essential support. He also instructed the SDRF personnel to focus on strengthening their ability to respond swiftly in emergency situations, ensuring quick and effective action when needed during Char Dham Yatra.
He addressed officials and personnel through an online monthly conference held at the SDRF Headquarters in Jolly Grant on Wednesday. He reviewed key preparedness measures and issued important directives to ensure the safety and comfort of the pilgrims during the Yatra. During the virtual conference, Yaduvanshi gathered updates on accommodation and food arrangements, equipment status and both individual and collective concerns of the personnel.
He instructed that all issues must be resolved promptly and efficiently to maintain high standards of readiness throughout the Yatra period. Yaduvanshi put special emphasis on minimising response time during emergency incidents. Highlighting the importance of comprehensive readiness, he directed all SDRF teams to actively participate in state-level mock drills across districts, establishing coordination ahead of the Yatra.
He informed that trained home guards will also be appointed during the Yatra to further strengthen manpower at SDRF posts. He also said that the SDRF will be equipped with sufficient medical facilities and essential gear to provide immediate aid to pilgrims whenever necessary.
