More than 30,000 students have been admitted into the academic bank of credits (ABC) from the Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University (SDSUU). The university has uploaded the graduate and post-graduate degrees of 85,000 students on DigiLocker, enabling them to download their degrees from it.
Addressing the media on Tuesday, the SDSUU vice chancellor NK Joshi said that the University Grants Commission held a meeting with vice chancellors of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh to review ABC. The university was appreciated for more than 30,000 students being registered under ABC. The ABC will benefit those students who have to leave their studies midway due to some reason. Joshi said that all processes in the university from admission to receiving degree are being made online following which the students will not have to visit the university.
Joshi further informed that the degrees of more than 85,000 UG and PG students have been uploaded on DigiLocker. The university has also prepared its Facebook page. Students can access information related to the university from this page also, he added. The SDSUU registrar Khemraj Bhatt was also present in the Press conference.
