Search for the 20 persons missing since the landslide at Gaurikund continued on Sunday though the authorities were not able to find any persons or bodies. The persons have been missing since three shops were destroyed by landslide debris on the night of August 3. The authorities have been able to recover three bodies while 20 persons have remained missing. The Rudraprayag district disaster management officer Nandan Singh Rajwar said that search for the 20 missing persons continued on the third day at the incident site and along the river. On Sunday, the police station, police post and fire service personnel also conducted searches in their respective areas. Further, drone mounted camera was also used to conduct searches in some locations.A search operation was also conducted from Dhari Devi to Kund barrage. Rajwar said that the teams are conducting the search and rescue operation in difficult conditions but have not been able to succeed so far.
