Police warn stern action in case of violation

In breaking news Uttarakhand, with the communal tension refusing to die down despite the Uttarkashi administration having denied permission to the Mahapanchayat called by some militant Hindu outfits in Purola town on June 15, the district administration has clamped the prohibitory order under Section 144 of CrPC from June 14 to 19. The administration has appealed to the people to maintain peace and comply with the prohibitory order. The district administration sounded apprehensive that rallies might be taken out in reaction to the past incidents which might disturb the law and order situation in the area. It is clearly stated that those to be found violating the prohibitory order may be penalized under Section 188 of Indian Penal Code.
