On the directions of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami the second installment of Rs 13 crore has been released for works to be done for disaster management. This sum will be used to repair the damaged roads, culverts, drinking water lines, irrigation canals, school buildings and other works in all the districts, officials said.
The State government has made a provision of Rs 26 crore under the disaster head for repair works in all the districts in the year 2024-25. The first installment of Rs 13 crore had been issued in the past. The second installment was released on Thursday.
Dhami has directed all the district magistrates that all the repair works should be completed on time considering the coming monsoon season. There should not be any negligence at any level in the execution of these works. Priority should be accorded to repairing bridle paths and culverts. It should also be ensured that drinking water supply lines and irrigation canals are in working condition, he said.
