The Uttarakhand in-charge of the Congress Kumari Selja reviewed the preparations of the party for the public meetings of the Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi. She met the party leaders and gave final touches to the preparations. Gandhi will address rallies in Ramnagar (Nainital) and Roorkee (Haridwar) on April 13 in support of Congress candidates. Selja also held a meeting with the officials of the social media department and war room of the party at the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) office.
She said that social media has an important role in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections because almost all the voters across the country are versed with social media. She said that along with the election campaign of the party candidates the Congress will have to expose the lies being spread by the BJP.
She said that the Congress has to work on taking the five justice-twenty-five guarantees mentioned in the election manifesto to the general public. Selja said that the Ankita Bhandari murder case, the Agniveer scheme, false promises on One Rank One Pension (OROP), increasing unemployment, recruitment scams and issue of migration should be spread through social media. The co-incharge of State Congress, Deepika Pandey and others were present on the occasion.
