Senior leaders of State Cong join Kedarnath Raksha Yatra

The Kedarnath Pratishta Raksha Yatra of the State Congress reached Agastyamuni in Rudraprayag district on Tuesday. With it the 260 km long Yatra has entered its last leg.
Senior leaders of the State Congress former chief minister Harish Rawat, the leader of opposition (LoP) in State assembly Yashpal Arya, former Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Pritam Singh and former PCC president Ganesh Godiyal have joined the Yatra led by the PCC president Karan Mahara. The presence of senior leaders in the Yatra and the show of unity has given a boost to the morale of the Congress workers of the State.
The Yatra moved forward from Rudraprayag on Tuesday morning. Addressing the party workers, the PCC president Karan Mahara said that the BJP has got frightened by the immense support the Yatra is eliciting from the general public. He said the Yatra of Congress party from Har ki Paidi to Kedarnath is about increasing social harmony in the State. The PCC president said that the Congress party has always encouraged harmony and development.
Former CM Harish Rawat said that poor management of the Char Dham Yatra this year sent the wrong message and it affected the livelihood of those associated with the Yatra. The Kedarnath Raksha Yatra will culminate on August 3 at Kedarnath Dham.
