Senior photojournalist Manjul Manjila passes away

Senior photojournalist Manjul Singh Manjila passed away due to heart attack on Monday morning. He suffered a heart attack while covering events of National Games at Raipur stadium. He was rushed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay District Hospital where he was pronounced dead. After the post-mortem examination was conducted at the hospital, his body was handed over to his family. The 48-year-old photo journalist is survived by his wife and two sons, both of whom are now studying.

Manjila was known for his self-effacing nature and  he was considered to be one of the most skilled cameramen in the State. 

Expressing sorrow over his untimely demise, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the loss was irreparable for the media field. 

The president of the Uttaranchal Press Club, Bhupinder Kandari stated that the Press Club family stands in solidarity with Manjila’s family during this difficult time. Aside from the members of the media fraternity, several political leaders and social organisations have also mourned the death. 

Among the prominent who condoled the death of the senior photo journalist were the director general of State Information department Banshidhar Tiwari, Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara and BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt.
