Sensitivity and sense of service vital for doctors- Bansal

The SHEWA Society organised a free public awareness lecture and gynaecological consultation at Sanjay Orthopaedic, Spine and Maternity Centre on the occasion of World Doctors Day on Friday. Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal was the chief guest on the occasion with Padma Shri recipient and senior orthopaedic surgeon Dr Yogi Aron as the special guest along with State Commission for Protection of Child Rights chairperson Dr Geeta Khanna, Shri Dev Suman Technical University vice chancellor PP Dhyani, Government Doon Medical College principal Dr Ashutosh Sayana and Dr BKS Sanjay who lit the inaugural lamp.
MP Naresh Bansal said that a doctor should not only be a good doctor but also a good human along with being sensitive. Dr Geeta Khanna opined that the trust which patient reposes on a doctor in India is greater compared to the USA. PP Dhyani pointed at the problems being posed by quacks to the profession of doctors. Dr Ashutosh Sayana said that the State government is making necessary efforts to being about the desired improvement in health services especially after the Covid pandemic.Padma Shri recipient Dr BKS Sanjay said that doctors are making a considerable contribution for nation building, while recalling how doctors had worked selflessly in the face of danger during the Covid-19 pandemic. Orthopaedic surgeon Dr Gaurav Sanjay along with Yogesh Agrawal hosted the programme.
