Settle pending asset distribution issue: Cong to Yogi
The BJP leaders of Uttarakhand maintaining silence on important issue: Dasauni
Raising the issue of the pending settlement of assets between Uttar Pradesh (UP) and Uttarakhand on the day the UP chief minister (CM) Yogi Adityanath visited the state, the Uttarakhand Congress has said that the issue needs the attention of UP CM.
The spokesperson of Uttarakhand Congress, Garima Dasauni said that it is good that the UP CM has visited Uttarakhand but it would have been much better if the long pending issue of asset distribution between the two states is settled. She reminded that during the chief ministerial tenure of BSP and SP governments in UP, the BJP leaders of Uttarakhand used to raise the long pending issue of settlement of assets but now when there is a BJP government in UP, the BJP leaders are maintaining a stoic silence. Dasauni said that the transport department of Uttarakhand owes a sum of Rs 700 Crore from UP. She said that the transport department of Uttarakhand is in very bad shape and it had to sell its properties.
The Congress leader appealed to the UP CM to consider the issue sympathetically and discharge his duties of an elder brother of Uttarakhand.
