Settlement of assets-Finance minister expresses dissatisfaction at pending issues

Expressing his dissatisfaction over the pending issues in the cases pertaining to settlement of assets between Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh, the Finance and Reorganisation minister Prem Chand Agarwal has said that necessary steps for the disposal of the pending issues should be taken. He said that a meeting of the department should be convened on the subject after the necessary review at the level of chief secretary.
The minister gave these orders while chairing a review meeting of the officers of the department at his office in Vidhan Sabha on Tuesday. He talked with the chief secretary SS Sandhu on phone and directed him to take necessary steps to dispose of pending issues. Expressing his gratitude towards the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath and the CM of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami for resolving many issues involving the division of the assets between the two States, he said that both the State governments exhibited strong will power in the matter. The minister said that it is a matter of great happiness that both the States have resolves most of the issues such as handing over of 24 canals to Uttarakhand, payment of the money under the consolidated and excess heads of Forest department, development of a joint mechanism for allotment/ auction of the assets of Uttar Pradesh Awas Vikas Parishad located in Uttarakhand and issues pertaining to the Forest, Transport and, Food and Civil Supplies department.
He said that many important issues related to the distribution of assets between UP and Uttarakhand have been settled due to combined efforts of both governments. The Reorganisation secretary Chandresh Kumar, deputy secretary HS Basera and other officers of the department were present on the occasion.
