Addressing the gathering, Uniyal pointed out that this region is the land where ascetics undertook penance and also known as the most important tourism and religious place among the sites known for Yoga in India. “Yoga is the soul of our nation and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken it forward. Today, it has gained recognition at the international level. Practising Yoga is directly connected to our culture and is also the cure for all ailments. It is not only an exercise but also among our culture’s important identities.
Saraswati said that people from across the world are arriving in this area to learn Yoga. Stating that it enables freedom from various ailments, he also recalled the role Yoga had played during the Covid-19 pandemic.
