Seven injured in road mishap

Seven persons were injured when the car they were travelling in from Jakhnidhar to Dehradun crashed near Agrakhal. One injured young woman is in a critical condition and has been referred to higher centre at Jolly Grant after primary treatment. The other six injured people were discharged from the hospital after first aid.
The car number HR 58 C-8390 was on its way from Rajakhet to Dehradun on Wednesday when the driver lost control, causing it to fall down a 50 metre deep gorge near Agrakhal at around 3 pm. The injured have been identified as Rajakhet resident Babita (24), Kavita (24), driver Dharam Singh (54), Dhan Singh (50), Dehradun resident Pooja (20), Devansh (6) and Santoshi (32). Agrakhal police post in-charge JP Kohli and fire service in-charge Dhiraj Singh Tadial reached the accident site from where the injured were rescued and taken to Shridev Suman hospital for treatment. Pooja has been referred to higher centre Jolly Grant due to severe head and leg injuries. The condition of the other six injured is said to be normal.
