Seven killed in three separate accidents in three districts

Seven people died in three different accidents in Tehri, Pauri and Dehradun districts on Friday. A car which was on its way to Badrinath from Haridwar fell into a deep gorge with six men near Brahmapuri . The officials informed that three people died on the spot in the accident while three sustained serious injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital. One of the injured men was declared dead by the doctors in the hospital. The deceased have been identified as Shivaji Budhkar (53), Purushottam Dattatreya (37), Jitesh Prakash Lokhande (43) and Dharmaraj, whose age is yet to be ascertained by the officials. The officials added that these six men belong to different cities in Maharashtra and were on their way to visit Badrinath at the time of the accident. 

Two people died on the spot in another road accident which occured in Bhatoli village of Srinagarin Pauri district. The police informed that two men named Dev Singh (40) and Arjun Singh (35) were in the car and died at the spot after it fell into a 200 metre deep gorge.

Besides this, a car carrying two men fell into a gorge in the Chakrata area in Dehradun on Friday. The officials informed that the driver Jeetendra Das sustained injuries while  Tikam Singh Rana (56) died due to his injuries at the accident site.
