DEHRADUN: The director general of police, Uttarakhand, Deepam Seth announced on Friday the names of the police officers who will receive the Governor’s Distinguished Service Medal for their outstanding work on the occasion of the Republic Day on Sunday. This aside, some police officials will be presented with the DGP’s Commendation Disc (Gold) and DGP’s Commendation Disc (Silver) in recognition of their excellent service in the police force.
Among those selected for the Governor’s Distinguished Service Medal are the inspector general (Training) Kewal Khurana; the SSP Dehradun Ajai Singh; SSP, Haridwar Pramendra Singh Dobhal; deputy commandant, 40 PAC Surjeet Singh Panwar and ASP, Haridwar Lokjeet Singh. Ten officers will be presented with the DGP’s Commendation Disc (Gold), including SP, Intelligence, Dehradun, Pradeep Kumar Rai and DSP, Haridwar, Rakesh Rawat. Those selected for the DGP’s Commendation Disc (Silver) include the IG (Telecommunication) V K Krishna Kumar and DSP, Vidhan Sabha Secretariat security, Kamlesh Pant.
