Several routes to remain diverted on Dussehra

Several routes will remain diverted on Tuesday due to the Dussehra festival. The police said that the area around the Parade Ground will completely remain a zero zone for vehicles. They said that to ensure proper traffic arrangements around the Parade Ground, all vehicles will be sent from the outer barrier points to the designated parking places. The main barrier points will be Survey Chowk, Buddha Chowk, Darshanlal Chowk, Orient Chowk and Pacific junction.

Vehicles arriving from Dharampur, Darshanlal Chowk, Doon Chowk, ISBT and Clock Tower will be parked in Rangers Ground. Vehicles arriving via Survey Chowk will be parked at Mangala Devi Inter College ground. Besides this, vehicles arriving from the Rajpur Road area will be parked on the road along the wall of Saint Joseph’s Academy on Subhash Road and in the parking space of Lord Venkatesh wedding point. All Vikrams of the Raipur route will be diverted back from Sahastradhara Crossing. Vikrams from the Dharampur route will be sent from Tehsil Chowk towards MKP Chowk via Doon Chowk. Vikrams arriving from the Kanwali route and ISBT route will be diverted from the Railway gate. 

Besides this, Vikrams operating on the Premnagar route will be sent back via Prabhat cut. Vikrams arriving from Rajpur will be sent back via Pacific junction. City buses arriving from the ISBT route towards Rajpur Road will go towards Rajpur via Darshanlal Chowk from Clock Tower. City buses coming from the Rispana area will be sent back from Tehsil Chowk to Araghar via Doon Chowk and MKP Chowk. The Dehradun senior superintendent of police Ajai Singh has appealed to all citizens and public transport vehicle operators to provide their cooperation to the traffic police by following traffic rules. He appealed to them to schedule their driving as per the traffic schedule and use alternate routes. He asked them to park only at the designated places to avoid inconvenience on the occasion of Dussehra.
