Several routes to remain diverted today in Doon

Several routes will remain diverted today due to the proposed procession on Saturday on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti. The police informed that during the movement of the religious procession, the traffic will mainly be diverted on the route from Gurdwara in Patelnagar to Gurusingh Sabha in Arhat Bazaar via Saharanpur Chowk, Prince Chowk, Gandhi Road, Darshanlal Chowk, Paltan Bazaar and Darshani Gate. The police said that the traffic arriving from Patelnagar and Lalpul towards Saharanpur Chowk will be diverted towards Kamala Palace when the procession would start from Gurudwara in Patelnagar.
The traffic arriving from Balliwala to Saharanpur Chowk will be diverted towards Kamala Palace or Ballupur when the procession reaches the middle of Matawala Bagh and Saharanpur Chowk. The police said that when the procession reaches between Arhat Bazaar and Prince Chowk, no traffic from Patelnagar, Lalpul and Balliwala will be allowed to move towards Saharanpur Chowk and Prince Chowk.
After the procession passes Prince Chowk, traffic will be resumed as normal from Patelnagar, Lalpul and Balliwala and vehicles going to Prince Chowk and Tehsil Chowk via CMI will be diverted towards MKP College. When the procession reaches Tehsil Chowk, traffic going to Darshanlal via Prince Chowk will be diverted to Doon Chowk. The traffic going from Buddha Chowk to Clock Tower will be sent towards Lansdowne Chowk and vehicles going from Tehsil Chowk to Clock Tower will be sent from Darshan Lal Chowk to Lansdowne Chowk when the procession arrives between Darshan Lal Chowk and Clock Tower. The police informed that the traffic will return to normal from all the diverted routes after the procession reaches Paltan Bazaar from the Clock Tower. The traffic going to Prince Chowk via Saharanpur Chowk will be stopped along with the procession and will be sent from the right side when the procession reaches Arhat Bazaar Gurdwara from Darshani Gate. The police have appealed to locals to plan their movement on the said routes as per the traffic plan.
