Union Home minister Amit Shah will chair the Central Zonal Council meeting at Narendranagar in Tehri district on Saturday. According to sources, about 36 issues are on the agenda for discussion in the meeting.
In addition to Shah, the Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel are to attend this meeting.
Sources state that issues including the inclusion of millets in the mid day meal scheme, strengthening banking services in rural areas, internet connectivity, special fast track courts, sharing of river waters and other issues of common interest, among other issues may be discussed in the meeting. On Friday, the inspector general (Garhwal) Karan Singh Naganyal held a briefing on the security arrangements made for this important meeting.
